CHRISTINE WILHELMINA OPPER

Born: August 1st, 1914

Passed in: Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada
Passed on: May 24th, 2012

August 1, 1914 - May 24, 2012
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Christine Wilhelmina Opper of Louis Creek, B.C. in the Royal Inland Hospital, Kamloops on Thursday, May 24, 2012.
She is survived by her children: Richard, Gail, Dennis and Bob (Cindy) Johnsen, five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her first husband Alex Evald Johnsen and their young son Wayne Alexander Johnsen.
She is also survived by her second husband Ronald Opper and his fifteen children from his deceased first wife Lil. Christine married Ron in the early 1970's and was a devoted and loving stepmother to all of his children, working untiringly in their home, baking bread, cooking huge meals, growing a vegetable and flower garden, canning and caring for the several young stepchildren still at home.
It was extremely difficult for her when her health started failing 5 years ago as she was no longer able to perform the tasks she so dearly loved or to help those who were in need.
Christine's wishes in her Last Will were that her remains be cremated and her ashes be interred with those of her first husband Alex Johnsen, in the grave of their young son Wayne, at Kimberley, B.C.
Christine was a very special person who touched the souls and lives of many children and adults over the years. She will be remembered by many for her unselfish acts of love, labour and compassion for the sick and needy throughout her journey on this earth.

God saw that she was very tired
and called her home as her work
here on earth was completed.
