FOWLER, CALVIN ARNOLD - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Father, Grandfather and Brother, Calvin Arnold Fowler of Coquitlam, BC on May 18th, 2012 at The Eagle Ridge Hospital in Port Moody, BC. Cal was born July 11, 1935 in Holtville, NB and was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Thelma (Hunter) Fowler, two infant siblings, David and Patsy, two sisters Gerry Ellery, Freda Hood and his nephew Jeremy Fowler. Cal is survived by his long-time partner Margaret Ackerman, daughter Audrey Myers (Phil), Chetwynd, BC and his son Clinton (Jacquie) Kelowna, BC, his grandchildren Jeremiah, Shamus, Daniella, Kelli and Mitchell and several great-grandchildren. Also mourning his loss are sisters Eva Fowler (Orville), Ethel Spencer (Terry), Helena Samsonoff (Nick) and brothers Allan (Margaret), John (Gertie), Darrell (Pat), Owen (Debby), Jim (Glenna), Nelson (Julie) and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Cal was a devoted member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 115 and spent most of his working years on different projects throughout the province of BC and the Northwest Territories as a Heavy Equipment Crane Operator. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, golfer and enjoyed his books about the great outdoors.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held here in New Brunswick with details to be announced later.
