EISENZIMMER, Magdalena Amelia Eisenzimmer, age 90, of Ernfold, SK. passed away June 5, 2012 at the Herbert Nursing Home, Herbert, Sk. The Memorial Graveside Service will take place at a later date. Lena is survived by three children; Victor Eisenzimmer of Calgary, Ab; Robert Eisenzimmer of Watrous, Sk and Rosalie Eisenzimmer of Swift Current, Sk. three grandchildren Wendy Olson of Regina, Sk; Amanda Olson of Swift Current, Sk and Shane Beach of Swift Current, Sk; two great grandchildren Indika and Iyzzack Oberding of Swift Current and on sister Barbara Caotes and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Meinrad Eisenzimmer in 2008, sisters Katerina, age four in 1909; Helen Dennis, Margaret Flavell, and Katie Strelioff; brother John Usselman; mother Eve Trautman in 1925 and father Martin Usselman in 1956. Lena was born on May 23, 1922 in Zelma, Sk. She attended school in the Zelma area and Limestone Hill School. She was united in marriage to Meinrad Eisenzimmer in 1943 in Craik, SK. She worked as a cook for 25 years at the Watrous Union Hospital and later moved to reside in Ernfold. Lena loved gardening, spending time with grandchildren and reading to her great grandchildren and she had a big soft spot in her heart for all animals. Lena's family wishes to thank the staff at the Herbert Nursing Home for the excellent care and love they gave Lena. In her memory, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Association of Canada or the Swift Current S.P.C.A.
