PERSELLO, BERTA FABRO - It is with sorrowful hearts we announce the death of Berta Fabro Persello of Fredericton, NB. Born in Majano Udine, Italy. She was the daughter of the late Domenico and Onorina (Molinaro) Fabro and the wife of the late Giovanni Persello. Berta was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She was a fabulous cook and an avid gardener even winning an award from the city of Fredericton for her fabulous garden. Survived by one daughter, Vally Persello Szammer (Joseph) of Quebec; one grandchild, Marc; one brother Roberto of Italy, one sister, Renata of Italy, one brother, Lorenzo (Yvette) Fabro of Canada; one nephew, Richie and one niece, Kim. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Giovanni; two brothers, Arigo and Germano.
Visitation will be held at McAdam’s Funeral Home on Monday, June 18th, 2012 from 6 to 9 pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Dunstan’s Catholic Church on Tuesday, June 19th, 2012 at 12:00 noon with Rev. Bill Brennan as Celebrant assisted by Rev. Monte Peters. Interment will be in the Hermitage Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial tributes may be made to the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital Foundation, St. Dunstan’s Church or the charity of the donor’s choice.
