MILLS, HELENA J. - 1920 - 2012 - Miramichi - Helena Josephine Mills, widow of Claude R. Mills, of the Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home, Miramichi, passed away at her residence, on Sunday morning, June 17, 2012, at the age of 92. Born in Newcastle, on January 27, 1920, she was the daughter of the late James and Catherine (Wallace) McMann. She was a homemaker and an adherent of St. Marks United Church, Miramichi. She was a former employee of Wandlyn Inns Ltd. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Arlene Sherrard (Wes); one son, Danny Keoughan, all of Miramichi; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Daniel Keoughan; her second husband, Calude R. Mills; one son, James Gautreau; five sisters, Anne Butler, Margaret Farrah, Stella Gibbs, Mary Zebreski; two brothers, Vincent and Wilfred McMann, Esther Williamson.
Visiting will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, on Monday evening only, from 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from Adams Funeral Home Chapel, on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at 2 pm, conducted by Rev. Ross Wiseman. Interment will be in the Black River Community Cemetery.
