MURRAY, PATRICK "PADDY" FRANCIS - It is with sorrowful hearts we announce the June 21, 2012 death of Patrick (Paddy) Francis Murray of Haneytown, NB. Born in Ballymena, Ireland, November 14, 1912. He is survived by his wife Marie with whom he enjoyed 33 wonderful years. Paddy was a quiet deliberate man who loved life, his family, his work and a little toddy at the end of the day. Following retirement from Base Gagetown in 1977, Paddy had the luxury of many years of good health, travel and enjoyment of family and friends. He was predeceased by his first wife Margaret (Maggie) Murray (Simpson), a son Ralph Murray and his parents, John and Ann (Gillen) Murray. Survived by one daughter, MaryAnn Carr (Joe) of Haneytown, NB, five sons, Carl Murray (Carol) of Haneytown, NB, Ron Murray (Elizabeth) of Fredericton, NB, Maurice Murray (Jackie) of Grand Bay-Westfield, NB, Allen Murray (Shirley) of Oromocto, NB and Bernard Murray (Aurena) of Fredericton, NB and one daughter in law, Marlyne Murray of Rusagonis, NB. Paddy is also survived by two step-daughters, Anne Foscaneau (Georges) of Ottawa, ON and Peggy Hebblethwaite (David) of Brisbane, Australia and three step-sons, Douglas Carter (Geri) of Geary, NB, David Carter of Calgary, AB and Stephen Carter (Allen) of Fredericton, NB. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren as well as nine step-grandchildren and 11 step great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews in Canada, USA and Ballymena, Ireland.
Visitation will take place at the Oromocto Funeral Home, 108 Winnebago Street, Oromocto, NB on June 22, 2012 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church at 11am with Father Ken Weir as celebrant. Following the service interment will take place in the St. Vincent De Paul cemetery. For those who wish, memorial tributes can be made to Farraline Place or a charity of your choice.
