Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Monday, June 18, 2012, Sadie Milley of Burnt Point, age 81 years. Predeceased by parents: Hayward and Rebecca Wheadon, sister: Doris Crocker, brothers: Chesley and Allan, step-brother: Everett. Left to mourn, husband: Louis 'Duke'; six daughters: Sandra (Baxter) Snelgrove, Lower Island Cove, Juanita (Wayne) Crocker, Old Perlican, Berdina (William) Royal, Lower Island Cove, Beverley (John) Clarke, Lunenburg, NS, Arlene Milley, Burnt Point and Lisa (Ken) March, Brownsdale; three sons: Brenden (Joan), and Derek, both of Burnt Point and Wayne (Gail), Lower Island Cove; nineteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; sister: Olive (Ivor) Noftle, Broad Cove; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Western Bay. Rev. John Davis conducted the funeral service on Thursday, June 21 at Memorial United Church, Burnt Point. Interment took place in the United Cemetery, Burnt Point. Donations in her memory may be made to the Janeway Children's Hospital Foundation.
