CHARLES DILLEN

CHARLES DILLEN

Passed in: Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada
Passed on: June 10th, 2012

You were one of the greatest men we have ever known. You will be missed as a Husband, Dad, Papa, Brother and Friend. On June 10, 2012, our lives changed forever.

Dad you were no stranger to adversity and never shied away from a challenge - physical or medical. Our "MacGyver" would always find a way. You were our hero! You taught us right until the end to cherish the little things in life ... a positive attitude, family dinners, a beautiful sunset, fishing with your buddies, playing crib with friends, dancing, sports, laughing out loud, gambling is fun, a great scotch, dessert (chocolate!), running as fast as you can, singing "Dance with me" ...

We will remember you as a man who loved nature. You were a farmer at heart - from the wheat fields in Saskatchewan to the flower garden in Kamloops - you always loved playing in the dirt! You instilled determination and work ethic in us as we saw you build your business, Four C Aluminum, with your own hands and heart. You made us proud by making your dreams come true with Dream Safe and her foals. You inspired us to be adventurous and live a good life.

You were known for many things but it always came down to one thing ... those Blue Eyes!

Enjoy your valley with a view from the top. We love you to
the moon and back Dad ...

Charlie is survived by Lois, his wife of 46 years; two loving daughters Charleen and Carey; granddaughters Tayler and Haley; son-in-laws David and Kaja; and his buddy Rocky. His memory will be cherished by his brothers and sisters: Virginia, Mary, June, Pat, Stan, Will and Bonny; numerous relatives and special friends.

He was predeceased by his parents Richard and Christina and his brother Rick.

We are grateful for his Angels on 5 South at RIH and Dr. Steyn, Dr. Rollheiser and Dr. Montgomery whom he trusted and respected. Also, a special thanks to Dr. Outram who Dad credits for keeping his body going over the years.

By his request, on August 18, 2012, a barbeque will be held in his garden in the backyard to Celebrate His Life. If you would like to attend, please email us at charlesdillen4c@gmail.com

Should you desire, donations can be made to Kamloops SPCA or Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Charles Dillen.

Until we meet again...
I am your kiddo,
You are my Dad.
The best of friends,
Through happy and sad.
Hugs, chats and laughs,
We did not lack.
I'll always love you,
To the moon and back.
