GREENWOOD – Mabel Vivian Sheehan, of the Glen Haven Manor, formerly of Greenwood, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2012 in the Manor.
Born in Otterbrook, Colchester Co. on May 5, 1932, she was a daughter of the late James E. and Eliza Jane (Nichols) Tree.
She is survived by five daughters: Doris (Kenneth) Allen, Masstown; Anna (Harold) Lewis, Greenwood; Mary Ann, New Glasgow; Karen (Scotty) Carrigan, Trenton; Lorna (Jamie Keow), Saint John, NB; five sons: Seymour (Helen), Linacy; Daniel (Joanne), New Harbour; Robert (Nancy), Avondale; Paul, New Glasgow; Anthony (Meredith), New Glasgow; brother, James (Lola), Pine Tree; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Frances Thompson, Trenton; Dolly MacDonald, Thorburn; Elizabeth Millen, New Glasgow; brothers-in-law: Doug (Mary) Sheehan, New Glasgow; Angus (Carol) Sheehan, Ontario; Russell Joudrey, Truro.
She was predeceased by her husband Daniel William Sheehan; two sons, Michael and Henry; brothers: Clarence, Henry, Carrol, Hedley, William, John and Hance; sisters: Harriett (Ed) Wilson; Grace (Walter) Richards; Gwen (Harold) Hamilton; Mae (Donald) Fulton; Julia Joudrey; brothers-in-law: Gordon, Raymond (Gloria) and David Sheehan; sisters-in-law: Elsie, Carrie and Jean Tree.
Visitation 6-9 p.m. Thursday in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral mass 11 a.m. Friday in Saint Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, Thorburn, with Father Colin MacKinnon officiating. Burial will be in Saint Ann’s Cemetery, Thorburn.
