Passed peacefully away on Friday, June 29, 2012 at her home in Curling, Audrey Collins at the age of 84 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughters: Sandra (Pat) Hackett and Donna (Randy) Grant; grandsons: Mark (Sherri) Hackett and Rodney (Judy) Hackett; great-grandchildren: Nathan, Hailey and Cole Hackett; sister Sophia Barrett (John McCarthy); brother-in-law Robert Collins; sisters-in-law: Lucy Duffanies and Ruth Walters; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband John Collins, parents John and Frances Allen, parents-in-law Ernest and Lilly Anne Collins, sisters Lilly (Herb) Porter, Eva (John) Leggo, Winnie (Hayward) Hilliard, Nina (Thomas) Rock, Mariah (Richard) Young and Lena (Cameron) Simms, brothers Robert (Mary) Allan and John w. (Marion) Allan. Friends visited Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Saturday 7-9 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service was held on Monday, July 2 at 2:00 p.m. from Curling Memorial United Church with Rev. Clayton Parsons officiating. Interment followed at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
