OGILVIE, EDITH A. - 1922 - 2012 - Miramichi - Edith Amanda Ogilvie, wife of Calvin O. Ogilvie, of Lakeside Drive, Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Monday, July 2, 2012, at the age of 90. Born in Moncton, on May 13, 1922, she was the daughter of the late George and Nina B. (Steeves) Hoar. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Andrews United Church, Miramichi. She was a former church custodian and assisted her husband, Cal, with his business, prior to retirement. She is survived by her husband, Calvin Ogilvie; two daughters, Heather Matchett, of Miramichi and Holly Jones (Peter), of Quispamsis; four grandchildren, Justin, Bryan, Debbie, Brandon. She was predeceased by two brothers, Gerald and Dr. William Hoar.
By request, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. The public are invited to attend a funeral service to be held from St. Andrews United Church, Miramichi, on Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at 1 pm, conducted by Rev. Charlene Maguire MacKnight, assisted by Rev. Dale Greer. Interment will be in Fairhaven Cemetery, Moncton. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Salvation Army, or any charity of the donors’ choice, would be appreciated by the family.
