BARNEY’S RIVER– David Sheldon Duggins, 40, Barney’s River, passed away July 3, 2012 at home.
Born in New Glasgow he was a son of Margaret Kathleen “Kay” (Macumber) Duggins, Lower Barney’s River and the late William Nelson Duggins.
David had been employed with his brother in demolition work and had previously worked with other companies over the years. He enjoyed his work, fishing, gardening, music and the outdoors. The love of his life was his wife and daughter.
Surviving besides his mother are his wife, Lynda MacLeod; daughter, Brooke, at home; brother, Stephen (Leah Morrison), Lower Barney’s River; mother-in-law, Ruth MacLeod, Trenton; brother-in-law; Raymond (Irene) MacLeod, Barney’s River; sister-in-laws; Florence (Donald) Sutherland, Springville; Bev Bourgeois (Dave Barker), Westville; Frances (Jerome) MacDonald, Baileys Brook; Shirley (Scott) McLeod, Durham; Gloria (Rodney) Bezenar, Trenton; Carol MacLeod, Oshawa, Ont.; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Besides his father, he was predeceased by his son, Lance William Duggins in infancy; father-in-law, William Robert “Bill” MacLeod; brother-in-law, Arthur MacLeod.
The family will receive visitor’s 10-10:50 a.m. Saturday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow where funeral service will be held 11.am. with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating.
