At Prince County Hospital, Summerside, as a result of an automobile accident on Wednesday, July 4, 2012, of Robert Bruce Dawson, Travellers Rest, aged 57, special friend of Gloria Noye. Born in Tyne Valley Jan. 10, 1955, he was the son of the late Marjorie (nee Noye) Dawson and Keith Dawson and stepson of Doreen (nee Murphy) Dawson. Dear father to Lee Anne (Andy) Rideout, Brampton, Ont., and Danny, Mount Pleasant. Father-in-law to Lisa Dawson, Springhill. Dear grandfather to Brianna Rideout, Devon, Logan and Matthew Dawson. Robert is also survived by brothers and sisters: Ken (Judy), Scarborough, Ont.; Stephen (Sarah), Dartmouth, N.S.; Mae (John) MacLeod, Wellington Centre; June (Ernest) Boyles, Tyne Valley; and Bob (Kathy) MacLeod, Poplar Grove, and sister-in-law Audrey Dawson, Linkletter.Predeceased by father, mother, stepmother, brothers Carmen and Milfred Dawson. Resting at the Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel with visiting hours Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral will be held Saturday in the chapel at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in People’s Cemetery, Victoria West. In memory of Robert, memorials to Diabetes Association or Cancer Society would be appreciated.
