SHAW, MARION - With heavy hearts, the family announces the passing of Marion Stella Shaw, age 88 of Saint John, NB, last residing at the Loch Lomond Villa. Marion was Born in Mayfield, PEI, to parents Zachariah and Veronica (nee Doiron) Buote in 1924. She is survived by sons, Tony (Cathy) Shaw of Saint John, NB, Brian Shaw of Keswick, NB; daughter Judy Jenkins of Australia; granddaughters Julia Shaw, Michelle and Breanna Jenkins; and great granddaughter Avayah Jenkins, as well as, several nieces and nephews. The last surviving member of her immediate family, Marion was previously deceased by her sisters, Alice (Willard) Frampton of Saint John, NB, Eva (Lester) Nickerson of Saint John, NB, Alma (Frank) Smith of Charlottetown, PEI, Marjorie (Joseph) Murtagh of Saint John, NB, and brothers, Emile Buote of PEI, Ben (Kay) Buote of Pictou, NS, Raymond Buote of Saint John, NB, and Pius Buote of PEI. Mom loved to sing and attended many dances around the Saint John area. She loved driving, playing bingo, spending time with family and friends, and was “mom” to the many children she looked after throughout her years in Rockwood Court. Mom never left us in doubt of what she was thinking or feeling.
Arrangements entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB., (646-2424) with visitation on Monday 7 to 9 pm. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, July 10th, 2012 from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel at 11am, with reception to follow at the funeral home. Interment in St. Joseph’s cemetery.
