In Loving Memory of William Thomas Batchelor January 2, 1931 - July 5, 2008 Bill went peacefully to be with his Heavenly Father on July 5, 2008 at Royal Inland Hospital. Bill was predeceased by his grandson, Tyler Johnson. Bill is survived by his wife Joan and four children, Bill (Laurie) Batchelor, Linda (Dennis) Blake, Fred Batchelor, and Michael (Heather) Batchelor. Also left to mourn are Bill's sister Jenny (Frank) Hewitt, brother Les (Esme) Batchelor, and numerous nieces and nephews. He also leaves his grandchildren Lana (Greg), Sheri (Mike), Brenda (Emery), William (Amy), Daniel, Amanda, Zack, Zane, Tanya (Rob), Chelsey (Kellen), Jenny (Rob), and great grandchildren Brayden, Dyllan, Austin, Rachel, Nolan, Emily and Ryan. Bill was born in Victoria, BC to William and Muriel Batchelor. They moved to Shawnigan Lake in 1937. When Bill was 15 his father passed away and he became the family provider for his mother and siblings, Jenny and Les. In April 1953, Bill met Joan Winnifred Webb and they were married on July 31, 1954 at Shawnigan Lake.
