HOAR, HUGHIE - Mr. Hughie Leonard Hoar, age 78, of Southfield, NB, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre, on Sunday, July 8, 2012. He was born on December 20, 1933. He was the son of the late Leonard and Greta Mural of Dobson Corner, Salisbury. Hughie was predeceased by his loving wife Ella Winnifred Hoar (Crossman) who passed away in 2006. Hughie will be sadly missed by his family; one son; Wayne Hoar (Cindy) of Norton; three daughters; Sharon Tays (Danny) of Saint John; Carol Tobin (Thomas) Norton; Donna Hoar, of Saint John and his 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, and his companion for the past 5 years Valerie Sommervill; brother Frank Hoar (Kay); sisters Eleanor McNeil (Tommy) and Jennie Sleep, all of Salisbury. He was predeceased by brothers; Allison and Robert.
He is resting at Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, with visitation on Tuesday, July 10, 2012, from 6 to 8 pm. Following cremation, a Celebration Service of Hughie’s life, conducted by Rev. Dan Austin, will be held from Sherwood’s Chapel at 11:00 am, on Thursday, July 12, 2012, followed by a private family interment in Riverbank Cemetery. Memorial donations, in memory of Hughie, may be made to the Lung Association (NB) or to the memorial of the donor’s choice.
