LYNDS, Eda Kathleen – 89, Bible Hill, passed away peacefully Sunday evening, July 15, 2012, at Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born October 20, 1922, in Upper Onslow, she was the daughter of the late James and Helen (O’Brien) Andrews. Eda worked at Weir’s Nursing Home for many years. She loved to knit, crochet and going for walks. Eda is survived by her daughter, Bonnie (George) Veal, Bible Hill; sons, Everett (Dorothy) Lynds, Truro; Percy (Cheryl) Lynds, Bible Hill; grandchildren, Alicia, Rhonda, Christina, Terry, Kimberley; several great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Andrews, Shearwater. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Richard Earl Lynds (1989); daughter, Vivian Lynds; grandson, Ricky Lynds; brothers, Raymond and Lawrence Andrews. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where the funeral service will be held 1 p.m., today, July 17, 2012, Reverend Kym Burke-Cole officiating.
