Alice (Billie) Ellingsen June 10, 1935 - July 11, 2008 The hub of the family wheel has moved on. Billie was predeceased September 13, 2007 by her husband Trygve Ellingsen. The constant teacher of laughter, fairness, fun and love, she leaves behind the nuts of the wheel (her seven children): Joanne (Don) Embury, Janice, Nancy, Diane (Lorne) Tisdel, Carrie (Abe Pettyjohn), Gerald (Dawn), Carol (Rick Adams). Nephew Carl Ellingsen. Her grandchildren loved her because she always teased and played. The grandchildren are Scott, Cole, Doug, Ross, Courtney, Megan, Chelsea, Troy, Pam, Tammy, Robert, Kane, Carter, Leif, Hanna. Billie leaves behind her dear friend and step mother, Irene Shandley and siblings; Kaye (Sam) Vandermuelen, Diane (Rich) Matter and Guy (Debbie) Shandley and other friends and family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Nicola-Canford Elementary School library c/o SD 58, Box 4100, Merritt, BC V1K 1B8. There will be no service as per Billie's wishes.
