In loving memory of Evelyn Rose DeMasters Rose passed away in Kamloops, BC on July 31, 2008 at the age of 73 years. She was born June 28, 1935 in Pocatello, Idaho. Rose was predeceased by her husband Bill, in 1984, as well as by her parents Bert and Vera Frasure. Rose will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her children, daughters: Terri (Neil) MacLennan of Kamloops, and Dana Ryder of Kelowna, sons: Bill (Marie) of Santa Cruz, California and Brian of Yokohama City, Japan. Her grandchildren: Kristina & Stephen MacLennan, Micheal & A.J. Ryder, and Pete, Ivan & Christina Schierling as well as her great grand dog "Duke". Also survived by her sister Delores and brothers Bert, Terry, Jim and Martin and their families. Rose married Bill when she was just eighteen and they moved north to run a motel, caf>> and gas station at Milepost 397, Alaska Hwy. In 1971 they moved to Kelowna to accommodate their children's education needs. Rose was always very proud of her children's independence, their success in their chosen careers, their closeness and most importantly their happiness. There will be no formal service, but a private family graveside interment will be held at the Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery. The family wishes to extend a very special thank you to Linda, Katie, Lena and the rest of the staff at The Hamlets at Westsyde. The family requests that any expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the S.P.C.A. or to the Kelowna Cancer Clinic Arrangements have been entrusted to Justin Clark of Personal Alternative Funeral Services.
