In Loving Memory of Sandra Colleen (Sharpe) Brisson June 14, 1960 - August 10, 2008 On August 10, 2008 with her devoted husband Dan, by her side, Sandy completed the circle of her life after a fierce battle with the cancer that plagued her this past year. Born in North Vancouver, B.C., Sandy grew up in Kamloops. In her teens, Sandy found her niche in the western and rural life. This caused her to embrace ranches, rodeos and her various 4-H animals. Sandy graduated from Kamloops Senior Secondary in 1978 and went on to earn her Animal Health Technology degree at Cariboo College and later received her B.A. degree from UCC. Sandy was a voracious reader and a keen observer of all things. As well; she was a lover of all those with four paws. Sandy and Dan had discovered a passion for the people and lifestyle of Baha, Mexico and spent much time learning the language and working with the nuns at a local school. In anticipation of their 25th anniversary, Sandy and Dan were putting the finishing touches on their retirement home in the village of Santa Rosalia. Sandy is survived by her husband Dan, her parents Dave and Jerry Sharpe, sisters Sue Sharpe, Diana Hauser (Ken), her nephew David, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Our last family reunion was to celebrate the 90th birthday of our grandmother, Martha Hawk in North Vancouver on June 14, 2008, Sandy's 48th birthday. Her lifelong friend, Robyn Bartlett, was a constant support of Sandy during her time of illness. Services to be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, if desired
