Crossley, Mabel Euella (Rafuse) – 93, of New Ross, passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2012 in the Windsor Elm’s, Windsor. Born in New Ross, she was a daughter of the late Hadden and Alma (O’Leary) Rafuse. Mabel was a past member of the Christ Anglican Church and Choir, as well as, the Golden Age Club. Her door was always open for friends or strangers; and it was no secret that Mabel loved to have company. Mabel will be dearly missed by her children, sons Wendell (Donna), New Ross; Cleve (Carolyn), Wilmot; Kimber (Donna), New Ross; daughters June (Ron, deceased) Garland, Windsor; Maxine (Lloyd) MacDonald, St. Peters; Patricia (Byron) Wells, Windsor; Mary Jane (Bob) Russell, New Ross; brothers Max (Isabelle) Rafuse, Beaverbank; Robert (Lorraine) Rafuse, New Ross; Ernie, Chester; Wade (Virginia), New Ross; sisters Frances LaValle, Berwick; Beatrice Rafuse, Chester; Loretta Crawford, Chester; 16 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Mabel is predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Eldridge; daughter Dale; brothers Verol; Curtis; sisters Madaline Walker; and Carmen Rafuse. Visitation for Mabel was held on Sunday, July 15 from 7-9 p.m. in the Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, New Ross. Memorial service took place on Monday, July 16 at 3:00 p.m. in the Christ Anglican Church, New Ross with Nicole Uzans officiating. Interment was held in the Christ Anglican Church Cemetery.
