THOMAS, Isabelle Rose, age 89, of Swift Current passed away July 16, 2012 at the Shaunavon Care Centre. The memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 24, 2012 from the Chapel of Warren's Funeral Home with Captain Michael Ramsey officiating. The organist was Arlene Olson. Life Tribute was presented by Lyle Blenner-Hassett. The Honorary Pallbearers were all who shared in her life. The interment service will take place at a later date. Isabelle is survived by her spouse Slim Thomas; daughter Elaine (Dale) Blake; grandson Michael and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Robert Hill; sister Margaret MacLennan and brother-in-law Murray MacLennan. Isabelle was born in the Tisdale District on October 30, 1923 even though she celebrated her birthday on the 31 st. She attended school in Tisdale and Regina. She was united in marriage to Shirley "Slim" Thomas in Yorkton on December 30, 1949. Isabelle was employed at the Sask. Wheat Pool in Regina, the Federal Government Taxation Branch in Regina and then at Motorways in Swift Current. She was a member of the Lioness Club, the Elmwood Golf and Country Club and the Curling Club. She was also a long time season ticket holder for the Saskatchewan Rough Rides, the Swift Current Broncos and the Swift Current Indians Ball Club. Isabelle truly enjoyed golfing, curling, playing cards and Gardening. She also enjoyed her coffee group at A & W and MacDonalds. She loved to travel, visit with people and work with her plants and garden. She will be sadly miss but fondly remembered by her family and friends. In her memory, memorial donation may be made to the Shaunavon Long Term Care Centre or the Charity of the Donor's Choice. Warren's Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
