LUND, Laura Mae – 74, Harmony, Nova Scotia, passed away away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday evening, July 21, 2012, at her home. Born February 18, 1938, in Charlottetown, she was a daughter of the late Norman and Verna (Ford) Hyde. Laura is survived by her daughters, Cindy Drisdelle, Saint John, New Brunswick; Isabel (Brian) MacPhee, Prince Edward Island; Corinne Lund (Jeff Hunter), Petitcodiac, New Brunswick; Debbie Lund, Florida; grandchildren, Chrystal, Adam, Ambyr, Brodie, Meghanne, Ryanne; great grandchildren, Maika, Kaleb, Brayden, Bayley, Madeline; sisters, Norma (Edward) Murray, Mary (Alfred) Sherren, all of Prince Edward Island; brothers, James “Jimmy” (Ann) Hyde, Ontario; John “Jack” Hyde, (Nettie), Saskatchewan; several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband. Alwin Joseph Lund; brother, Ambrose “Amby” (Faye) Hyde. Special thanks are extended to Dr. Don Rowe, Palliative Care Team and VON, Charles Brown, Myrtle and Vic Carter and Shirley and Alfred Flannigan. All are invited to attend a graveside funeral service that will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 25, 2012, in Hyde and Crosby Pioneer Cemetery, Hyde Point Road, Meadow Bank, Reverend Nigel Weaver officiating. Reception will follow in Cornwall United Church, 9 Cornwall Road, Cornwall. In lieu of flowers, donations in Laura’s memory Palliative Care Unit (Colchester Regional Hospital) or VON are welcomed. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro.
