
John R. “Jack” Williams

Peacefully, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Stroke Unit, Charlottetown on Sunday, July 22, 2012 of John “Jack” Williams of Wheatley River. Beloved husband of Debra Williams (Lieutenant) and father of John Williams, James Williams, Jeffrey Williams and Elizabeth Lieutenant. Brother of Gail Kovach (Jules) and Janet Dawson-Brock (David). Predeceased by his parents John and Constance (nee Richardson) Williams. Jack also leaves behind his best friend and beloved pet, Storm. Born in Charlottetown, Jack spent his childhood summers in Stanhope at Windermere Cottages, established by his grandmother in 1946. As an adult, Jack moved to Toronto and worked in the finance and automobile industries, and returned every summer to operate and eventually own Windermere. In 2008, Jack and Debra retired from Windermere and established All’s Well on Wheatley Cottages in Wheatley River. Jack took great pride in “The Gentle Island”, and was happy to provide memorable vacations for all his guests. Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home. No visitation or funeral service by request. Friends will be received on Saturday, July 28, 2012 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the home of John and Catherine Gordon, 200 Ross Lane, Stanhope Beach (just down the road from Windermere).
