February 10, 1929 - January 10, 2012

It is with very grateful hearts that we say thank you to our family and friends for the great kindness and support shown to us in the loss of our beloved father and ­grandfather earlier this year. A special thank you to all those who sent food, cards and emails to the funeral home and to those who made donations in Dad’s memory. Thank you to our extended family, all Mom and Dad’s friends and our childhood friends who were able to visit with us at the funeral home. It was great to relive all your many fond memories.

Thank you is extended to Dr. Davis and the staff of Corner Brook Long Term Care. The nursing and support staff provided great support to our father when we were unable to be there. He valued your professionalism and the many friendly chats and laughs.

Thank you to Rev. Roberta Woodman for the beautiful service and to the church choir, organist and the ACW for providing a luncheon for family and friends. Also thank you to the readers, Heidi Ronayne (granddaughter), Louise Brake (niece), Denise Reid and Kathy Reid (daughters-in-law) and to Dad’s pallbearers: Brian Joseph (nephew), Greg Mitchell (nephew), Patrick (son-in-law) and Jonathan Ronayne (grandson). We also want to thank the staff at Fillatre’s Funeral Home for your ­compassion and professionalism.

We are ever so grateful for the ongoing support that was given to Dad since our Mom passed away, by his sisters (Mona, Shirley and Muriel) and their families, our Mom’s family and the friends that both Mom and Dad had through the years. As we no longer live in the Corner Brook area, it was always such a great comfort to know that he had that support. Please know that we will always remember your kindness. Dad will be forever missed and loved always.
