Passed in: Saskatchewan, Canada

Audrey Ruth GOULD (nee Lighthart)
Audrey was born at Holy Cross Hospital on July 12, 1935 to Eleanor Lighthart (nee Maddess) and Sinai Lighthart in Calgary Alberta. It was here and at her grandfathers ranch she spent much of her early life. Along with her older brother Donald, she welcomed the arrival of her sisters, Doreen and Marlene. When the war broke out her father was offered at job at the Smelter Plant in Trial, BC. They lived there until moving to Errington, BC in 1949. It was at this time she met a young girl named Wanda. This friendship was to last until Mrs. Gould’s passing last week. The late Mrs. Gould is known for her many kindnesses and for helping those in times of need and grief. For many years she was a familiar figure at the Saskatchewan Liquor store manning the kettles for the Salvation appeal. As a senior soldier she was a faithful attendee at the local citadel. Mrs. Gould could be counted on to help neighbours and friends in any time of need. Before coming to Prince Albert, she worked for many years in Alberta as a housekeeper for many families. She will be remembered by many who loved and appreciated her many gifts. She was predeceased by her beloved Wesley in 1999; her parents Eleanor in 1982 and Sinai in 1990; her three brothers William in 1927, Kenneth in 1929 and Donald in 2004; her grandparents in 1958 and her son-in-law Dr. Peter Blenkinsop in 2008. Audrey Ruth Gould is survived by her two daughters Carolyn Lighthart (fiancé Douglas Pearson) and Judith (Warren) Hart and their two children Allison and Taylor Hart; her two step children Kenneth (Erin) Gould and their children and Donna Mae Bucsis; her two grandchildren Daniel (Myra) Blenkinsop and their two daughters Jade and Grace; Robert (Kerri-Ann) Blenkinsop; her sisters Doreen (John) Berg and Marlene (Donald) Green; her sister-in-law Enid Lighthart and their families; her ten nieces and nephews as well as over 14 great nieces and nephews; her special chosen sister-in-law Yvonne (Richard) Middlebrook and their family, as well as her lifelong loyal friend Wanda Gunther. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am to 10:30 am on Monday, January 11, 2010. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, January 11, 2010. Both services will be held at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Pastor Ches Jacobs officiating. Interment will be held at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. The family wishes her many friends to make donations in Mrs. Gould’s memory to the Herb Bassett Home, 1220 – 25th Street West, Prince Albert, SK S6V 4N9.
