FURZE, MARY ELLEN - The family of Mary Ellen Furze wishes to announce her passing on July 25, 2012 at the Turnbull Nursing Homes Palliative Care Unit. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Lloyd and her parents, Annie (Quinlan) and George McGowan. Mary leaves to mourn three brothers, Donald (Catherine Spence), Murray (Claire McGillivray) and Dr. George (Peggy Wahle) and two sisters, Theresa Keenan (Duncan) and Barbara Morrow (Bill), and several nieces and nephews. Mary retired from St. Joseph’s Hospital as a receptionist. She was a long standing member of the CWL at St. Ann’s Church. Our sincerest thanks and praise to all the staff at Turnbull Nursing Home for their wonderful care and support during Mary’s time there.
Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Friday, July 27, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Pius X Church, 316 Somerset Street on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 10:00 am. Interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For those who wish remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Diabetes Association or any charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
