The death occurred at home on Tuesday, July 24, 2012, of Francis P. (Pinky) Gallant of Walker Dr., Kensington, aged 73 years. Born in Pleasant View on Aug. 2, 1938, son of the late Cecil and Veronica (Doucette) Gallant. Husband of M. Theresa (Gallant) Gallant. Father of Grant Gallant, Mount Forrest, Ont.; Patty (Phil) King, Mount Forrest, Ont.; Marlene (Jed) Burt, Kensington; Caroline (Wayne) Turner, Calgary; Arnold (Jan) Arsenault, Ajax, Ont.; Joanne (Adrien) Gallant, Wellington; Bobby (Donna) Arsenault, Summerside; Melvin Arsenault, Bracebridge, Ont.; Peter Arsenault, Regina; Louise Arsenault (Dave Parsons), Spring Valley; Janette Arsenault (Chris Lanser) London, England; and Tracey (Darryl) MacGregor, Summerside, and Tim Gallant, Kensington. Grandfather to 21 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Brother of Joe Myers (Alice Vautour), Audrey Doucette (Edward deceased), Leonard Gallant (Jean deceased), Carl Gallant (deceased), Alice (Joe T.) Gallant, Sadie (Joe) Perry, Shirley (Lewie) Riley, Dora (John) Deschamp, Doreen (Clayton) Gallant, Bobby (Sandra) Gallant, and Judy Bernard (Brian deceased). Predeceased by grandson Randy Arsenault, stepfather Peter DesRoches and stepsister Geraldine DesRoches. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, where a memorial service will be held on Monday, July 30, in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the Immaculate Conception Parish Cemetery, Wellington. If so desired contributions may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the P.E.I. Lung Association. In keeping with Pinky’s wish there will be no visitation. Due to medical reasons no flowers please.
