ARRIS, FRANCIS "FRANK" - The unexpected death of Francis "Frank" Baker Arris, age 81, husband of the late Gloria (Carse) Arris of Apohaqui, formerly the proprietors of the Eveleigh Hotel, Evandale, NB, occurred in the am on July 21, 2012 in Morpeth, NE England, while he was visiting family for the month of July, 2012. He was born on October 15, 1930, in Sheepwash, Northumberland, England, the son to the late Isaac and Margaret (Baker) Arris. Frank immigrated to Canada with his wife and eldest son in 1957. He is survived by his children John Arris of Apohaqui, NB, Keith Arris, Lynn Arris and Sylvia Marie Grant, of Calgary, AB and Nancy Clark, and her husband Brian of Evandale, NB. His grandchildren also survive him: Michael Durocher, and his wife Sandra of Kanata, ON, Gloria Lynn Arris and Amber Grant of Calgary, AB, Ryan and Richard Clark of Evandale, NB, and his great grandchildren Levi and Dyson Durocher of Kanata, ON, and Erich and Isaac Blair of Calgary, AB. He is also survived by his brother Isaac Arris and his wife Helen and his sister Margaret Ogglesby, both of Morpeth, England, his sister Roselle Bolton, and husband Bobby of Sheepwash, England, and his brother-in-law John Carse, and his wife Irene of Falstone, England, and also several nieces and nephews in England. He was predeceased by his much-loved wife of 60 years, Gloria Lily Arris, on February 25, 2011.
He is resting at Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, with visiting on Thursday from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 pm. A celebration of Frank’s life, conducted by Celebrant Bill Sherwood, will be held at Sherwood’s Chapel at 11:00 am. on Friday, August 3, 2012. Donations are not necessary, but if donors wish, the family would prefer donations are made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or the donor’s choice. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him. We love you very much Dad and we will miss you for the rest of our lives.
