Jean Harrison
HARRISON, JEAN EILEEN - Jean died peacefully in the Ottawa Queensway - Carleton Hospital on March 22, 2012. Born September 16, 1919 to Ralph and Emily (Parlee) Harrison at Gondola Point, NB. She served diligently for several decades as a secretary to the Chairman of the Air Transport Board and gave generously of her time and talents to her church, family, friends and community. She is survived by nephew David Juvet (Mary), Toronto, nieces Sylvia Aston (Roger) and Dulce Juvet (Jim McAvoy) of Ottawa, niece Evlyn Flewelling (George, deceased) of Saint John, nephews Roy McLeod (Eleanor) of Ottawa, Harold McLeod (Aubrey) of Fredericton and Douglas McLeod of Winnipeg as well as many grand nieces and nephews and great-grand nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by her parents, brother Clarence and sisters Grace McLeod (Henry) of Penobsquis; Agnes Woodley (Ralph) of Gondola Point; and Edith Juvet (Stanley) of Ottawa, and a niece Barbara.
A memorial service was held at All Saints’ Anglican Church, Ottawa on April 2. A grave side service will be held at St. Luke’s Cemetery, 12 Quispamsis Road on August 12, 2012 at 4:00 pm, conducted by Rev. George Eves. Memorial donations may be made to St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Gondola Point, NB.
