John Charles Ewens passed away peacefully on July 25, 2012 at the Lynn Valley Care Centre in North Vancouver at the age of 92. 
John now joins his “Pammy” who passed away in the fall of 2009 at the age of 89 years.
Dad and Mom built the family cabin at Tuwanek and later moved to Sechelt. Dad enjoyed golf at Roberts Creek and pool in the Seniors’ Centre while Mom enjoyed her baking, gardening and social activities.
John will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Barbara of Victoria and sons Peter (Corry) of North Vancouver, Jim (Jamie) of Victoria/Whitehorse and David of Burnaby/Surrey.
John was a loving Grandfather and Great-Grandfather to: Barb’s daughter Janette (Scott) and son Jason (Paige, son Joshua and daughter Violet); Peter’s daughters Erin (Rob, sons James, Ben and Sam), Carly (Grady, daughter Mary and son Frank) and Emily (Fiona); Jim’s daughter Sydney and son Luke, step-children Chelsey, son Ben (Doug), Zack and Meghan (Bob, daughters Bridgette and Kaitlyn).
Mom and Dad will live on in the memories of their friends and their family as kind, loving parents, grandparents and great-grandparents.
The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of the Lynn Valley Care Centre. Also, the family appreciated the many cards of love and support from Faye McCourt of Sechelt. Dad lived his later years in the Lodge where he received exceptional care from the staff.
Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Fund.
