CUNNINGHAM, ROBERT - Robert Ward Cunningham, 80, Halifax, passed away at the QEII – VG Site, Monday, July 30, 2012. Born in Saint John, N.B., he was a son of the late Maurice and Helen (Reardon) Cunningham. Bob began his lifetime career in the Hospitality industry in 1950. He owned and operated The Flame BBQ in St. John for 20 years. and during that time he was on the NB Tourism Advisory Board and was an honorary member of the St. John Police Dept. and the St. John Fire Dept. In the mid 80’s Bob moved back to Nova Scotia where he owned and operated Value Pak for several years before he retired. He was a good friend to all who knew him. He is survived by: two daughters: Erin, Calgary; Mary-Ann, Ontario. Son: Steven (Theresa), Saint John; sister: Jean (Burt) Apple, Boston; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
Visitation Saturday 2 to 4 pm at Cruikshank’s Halifax Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street, where funeral service will be held 2:30 pm Sunday, August 5, 2012, Rev. Carson Baxter officiating.
