Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Saturday, August 4, 2012 of Irene Elizabeth Hickox of Charlottetown age 73 years. Dear mother of the late Jackie Brown (Paul Charlebois) Loving Nanny of the late Todd Brown and Nicole (Jeremy) Doiron. Great grandmother of Darius, Connor and Kiarra. Lovingly remembered by her brothers and sisters Marion Carragher, Ralph (Simone) Hickox, Pat (June) Hickox, Harold Hickox, Anna (Billy) MacKay, Dorothy Mayhew, Carol (David) Osborne, Kevin (Joanne) Hickox, Linda (Steven) MacKinnon, Cindy (Gary) Ross, Albert (Heather) Hickox and Nancy (Gerald) MacQuarrie. Irene was also predeceased by her parents William and Muriel (Somers) Hickox, hersisters Lena Naponise (Robert), Beulah Robinson (Garth), Lorraine "Babe" Buchanan, brothers-in-law Owen Carragher, Brian Mayhew and sister-in-law Donna Hickox. Resting at the Cutcliffe Funeral Home from where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in the Fredericton Community Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. If so desired memorial contributions may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of P.E.I. or the Arthritis Society of P.E.I.
