ROBICHAUD, ROMÉO - Roméo Robichaud, 79, of Grande-Digue, passed away very peacefully on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at The Moncton Hospital, surrounded by his family. Born October 22, 1932 in Notre-Dame, he was the son of the late François and Elmire (Goguen) Robichaud. Before his retirement, Roméo was an Assistant Superintendent for School District #11, a school teacher for 36 years having taught in Schefferville QC, Notre Dame, Dieppe, École Beauséjour, Africa and École Champlain where he finished his teaching career on February 26, 1991. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Corinne (Auffrey); a daughter, Mélanie Robichaud (Robert Barrieau) of Moncton; a brother, Albert Robichaud of Waltham, MA; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers: Gérald and Roger.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Home, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297) Friday, August 10, 2012 from 7 to 9p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at De La Visitation R.C. Church, Grande-Digue, on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 10:30a.m. Following the funeral mass a reception will be held at Notre Centre, Grande-Digue. In memory of Roméo, a contribution to The Moncton Hospital (Oncology) would be appreciated. Cremation and funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of Frenette Funeral Home Shediac Ltd. (532-3297).
