Stevenson, Phyllis Mae – 84, Willow Lodge Home for Special Care, Tatamagouche, passed away August 7, 2012 in the Lodge. Born in Earltown, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Freda (McNutt) Hirtle. Phyllis was a homemaker who, along with husband, Walter, operated their farm near Tatamagouche. Surviving is her daughter, Joyce (Les) Kissock, Tatamagouche; grandsons, Trevor Ferris, David Ferris and Ricky Ferris; great grandchildren, Kyle, Gavin, Tori and Isaac. Sisters, Elva Shearer and Marlene Rogers; brothers, Bill Hirtle, Elroy Langille and Sterling Langille. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter; sisters, Caroline McGill and Freda MacBurnie. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Coulter’s Funeral Home (657-3288), Tatamagouche. No visitation by request. A private service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations to Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
