Harry Taylor

TAYLOR, HARRY (BABE) FRANCIS - September 9, 1939 – August 8, 2012 - Early on August 8th, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Harry (Babe) Francis Taylor was ushered into the arms of his loving Heavenly Father following complications from heart surgery. Babe left this earth in the embrace of the family he loved - his devoted wife Elinor (Somers) and their four children, Lisa (Dennis), Scott (Dawn), Josh (Tish), and his youngest daughter Erin. For those who worked with Babe, he will be remembered as driven, capable and the ‘hardest of workers’. His family and friends will remember Babe’s fiery character, his quick wit, infectious humour and charm, which could not be surpassed by his spirit of generosity. “Without a thought, Babe would give you the shirt off his back.” But for those who knew him best, Babe will be remembered for his soft heart which was never more evident than when he was surrounded by his six grandchildren, Kassy, Kolton, Ally, Clare, Luke and Brianna, all who dearly loved their ‘Grampie’. Today we know that Babe is free from all earthly pain and is rejoicing with the angels in Heaven. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. 1 John 5:13 (Bible). Babe was born on September 9, 1939 in Sillikers, New Brunswick and is the youngest son of the late Clinton and Muriel Taylor. He is survived by his two brothers Don (Carolyn), Hughie (Mary), his only sister Rolla (Jerry Van der Veen), sister-in-law Shirley and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his older brothers Jack and Carmen. Babe’s legacy will live on in those he loved and the lives he touched. Babe – husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend – we love you and will miss you! We’ll see you again in Heaven.
