Agnes 'Kelly' Walton

With deep sadness, we the family of Kelly Walton, announce her passing Aug. 8, 2012, at Glace Bay General Hospital, following her courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 46.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was the daughter of the late Hubert and Leah (Kelloway) Walton.
She was predeceased by brothers, Blair and Wayne.
Kelly is survived by her partner, Kevin Nicholson.
After her parents passing Kelly was brought up by her Aunt Aggie and Uncle Bob Currie, with their children, Michele (Randy), Robbie (Marlene) and Jonathan (Sherry). She will be missed by aunts, Edith (John) MacIntosh, Annie Huntington, Harriet (Earl) Hann, Edna White, Frema (Lloyd) Graham, Merrill (Theodore) Chevarie; uncles, Bob (Kay) Kelloway, David (May) Kelloway, Dave (Julie) Smith, William (Dorene) Walton; godson, Justin; as well as all her cousins and extended Nicholson family and many friends. Kelly will also be missed by her BFF, Mary Smith and husband, John.
Over the years Kelly has cleaned houses, worked at H. Hopkins Fish Plant, Scotiabank, Glace Bay & Sydney, Securicor, Stream and her final job was working at Brink’s. Kelly was manager of Brinks, Sydney, and will be dearly missed by her Brink’s family, Chris Kieley & “Her Boys” as she so affectionately referred to her staff, her boss, Sheridan Curnew & the other Brinks family across the provinces, with whom she left a lasting impression.
She’ll also be missed by her Scotiabank family, Glace Bay Branch.
As per Kelly’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held Saturday, Aug.11, 2012, at St. Luke’s United Church, Donkin 2 p.m. with committal to follow at Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of choice.
