MacDONALD (TRUEMAN), SHIRLEY - 1927 - 2012 - "Safe in the arms of Jesus" - The family of Shirley May MacDonald announce with sadness her passing at The Moncton Hospital, on Thursday, August 9, 2012. Born in Moncton, N.B. she was the daughter of the late Rix and Georgia Trueman (Turner). She was retired from Central Insurance Agency Ltd., and was an active member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She will be dearly missed by her only daughter, Susan Galbraith (Colin Cunningham) of Oakville, ON; three precious grandchildren also of Oakville, grandson Andrew Galbraith (Carolyn) and their children Liam James and Cate Amelie, grandson Matthew Galbraith (Corin), and granddaughter, Terrie Diane Galbraith-Orr (Ken); her sister Marion Mitton of Moncton. Shirley is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and special friends. She is predeceased by her sister Marjoire Hickey.
Visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home on Sunday, August 12, 2012 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm. The funeral service will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church 187 McLaughlin Dr. Moncton, on Monday, August 13, 2012 at 1:00pm with Pastor J.D. Highfill or officiating. Following the service there will be a reception held in the church hall. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery immediately following the reception. In Shirley's memory, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Palliative Care Unit of the Moncton City Hospital. Arrangements have been entrusted to Tuttle Bros.
