Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, August 11, 2012, Vera Penney (Kelloway) of Carbonear, age 91 years. Predeceased by husband: John Charles (1998), parents: Howard and Emily Kelloway, brothers: Arthur, Chesley and Roy, sisters: Dorothy and Margaret. Leaving to mourn, four daughters: Linda (John) Payne, Harbour Grace, Sherry (Art) Kelloway, Victoria, Susan, Gander and Jacqueline (Clarence) Mercer, Shearstown; eight grandchildren: Brad (Sandra), Jill (Kevin), Travis (Jodi), Michael (Tara), Matthew, Nicole (Jeff), Brandon (Desiree) and Kelland; seven great-grandchildren: Jonathan, Julia, Jorja, Jade Vera-lynn, Charlie, Henry and Lochlan; two sisters: Ethel (Wilfred) Greene, London, ON and Daphne (David) Hanrahan, Gander; one brother: John (Darlene) Kelloway, Salmon Cove; sisters-in-law: Myrtis Kelloway, Barrie, ON, Jessie Kelloway, Salmon Cove and Gwen Kelloway, Ontario; special friends: Drucilla Butt and Minnie Snow, both of Carbonear; also a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel’s Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Sunday, August 12 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., Monday, August 13 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. and Tuesday, August 14 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, August 14 at 2:00 p.m. from Bethany United Church, Carbonear. Interment in Bethany United Cemetery, Carbonear.
