Porter, Jessie Lorraine, age 80, of Falmouth, Hants Co., passed away on Friday, August 10, 2012, at the Windsor Elms Village, Falmouth. Born on January 2, 1932, in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Harry Parker and Annie “Edna” Blanche (Keddy) Quinn. She is survived by her only daughter, Joy (Sam) Carnegie, Ottawa, Ont.; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Sandra) Carnegie, Ottawa, Ont.; Jonathan (Jill) Carnegie, Ottawa, Ont.; Misty and Tammy in Greenville, Tenn., USA; 9 great grandchildren; brother, Reginald(Anne), Margaretsville; sister, Thelma (Irvin) Porter, Falmouth. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John; son, Harry John Porter; brothers, Harry, Arthur Lewis, and Finlay; sisters, Shirley and Edith. A private family Interment was held at the Centre Falmouth Cemetery, Town Road, Falmouth.
