We, the family of the late Joe Byrne wish to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all who showed support and love during our recent time of grief. To all those who visited Joe in the hospital during his illness and sent “treats”, your acts of kindness will never be forgotten. To the staff of 3rd floor of the Glace Bay Hospital, we cannot thank you enough for the care you provided to Joe. You made him feel loved and special. Your actions and kind ways will forever be remembered. To Joe’s nephew Bill MacPherson and niece Lynn Boutilier, thank you for the special care you provided to Joe up until his last hours. To all who sent condolences through phone calls, e-mails, sympathy and Mass cards etc., your kind words will always be remembered. To those whose sent food and made charitable donations in Joe’s memory, Thank You from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you to the pallbearers Joe’s niece Carol Ann and nephews Darryl, Jimmy, Michael, Kevin and Teddy. Special thanks to all members of Row Street Athletic Club. Thanks for being Joe’s friends. The Honor Guard was beautiful. Joe would be so proud. Thanks to the C..W.L. for providing a beautiful lunch and to Father Boudreau, thank you for providing spiritual guidance to our family in our time of grief. To the staff of MacGillivray Funeral Home, thank you for your compassion and professionalism at a most difficult time.
