ELVA BLANCHE LEMON/WRIGHT
Elva passed away on August 12, 2012 at the age of 81. Mother was born October 1, 1930, near Strongfield, Saskatchewan, to David and Gladys Lemon, the third of four daughters; Thelma Jannsen, Swift Current, SK, Elsie Lemon, Calgary, AB, and Mary Mergel, Moose Jaw, SK. She attended Clear Ridge School and later moved to Moose Jaw to obtain employment. There, she met Raymond Wright, and they were married, August 7, 1953. Elva is survived by her husband of 59 years, and three children son, Leslie (Frances Pichie); daughter, Sandra (Russell Williams); and son, Steven; four grandchildren Chelsea, Dustin, Cody, and Jasmine, one great grandchild Lily, and numerous nieces and nephews. Elva is predeceased by her parents, David and Gladys Lemon. Mother was a great lover of horses and animals, being raised on a farm, and loved flowers and getting them. Not having obtained much in the way of a formal education, she nevertheless managed to run a household for 59 years and raise three kids and a husband. A Funeral Service will be held at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 409 Oxford St. W., on Friday August 17, 2012 at 1:30 pm. Pastor Scott Manly will officiate. Interment will take place at Sunset Cemetery. In living memory of Elva, a memorial planting will be made by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.
