WHELAN, SUSAN - The family of Susan (Mitchell) Whelan wish to announce Susan’s passing at home in Sydney, NS on August 6, 2012. Susan was the daughter of Willard and Joan Mitchell of Saint John East and a graduate of Simonds Regional High School. Susan is survived by her husband Brian, two children and three grandchildren all of Sydney. Also survived by sister Marie Peacock (David) of Rothesay, brothers Willard Mitchell of Sydney, Barry Mitchell of Damascus, NB and Ray Mitchell (Liz) of Summerville, NB, aunts Eleanor in Saint John, Jeannette in Ontario and Robert an uncle in Massachusetts and numerous cousins.
Cremation has taken place in Sydney, Nova Scotia. A celebration of Susan’s life will be held at the Peacock residence in Rothesay at a later date.
