DUFFIELD, MAXINE - After a long courageous battle with cancer, Maxine passed away peacefully after a weekend with family and friends. Born in Yarmouth, NS, she was the daughter of the late Hector Murray Cunningham and Kathleen “Kaye” (nee Fraser) Cunningham. Maxine worked at Air Canada for 35 years and travelled extensively, meeting many friends worldwide. She was an avid bowler and expert crafter of needlework, sewing and yarn work. Maxine loved her gardens and flowers, but most of all she loved the people who were a part of her life. She is survived by her children Michael (Pat) Duffield, Susan (Mark) Duffield, grandchildren; Dale (Tammy) Landry, great grandchildren; Joshua, Jonah and Jackson, and Nicole Landry, great great grandchildren; Nina and Simon Landry and Charles Duffield-Gallant, sisters Charlotte (Johnny) Kleppe Brenda Cunningham,, niece Kathleen, great nephews Jesse and Daymon, nephew Johnny (Cora) , niece Emma, great nephew Joshua as well as many other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband George “Bud” Duffield, and her beloved dog Zack.
The family would like to thank Dr. Rubin, Dr. Mansfield and the Staff of The Moncton Hospital for the care given to Maxine over the years. The funeral service will be held at the Bethel Presbyterian Church, 600 Coverdale Road, Riverview, on Friday, August 17th, 2012 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Bethel Presbyterian Church, 600 Coverdale Road in Riverview.
