We regret to announce the peaceful passing of Ruby Walsh, 87, on Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, at the Miner’s Manor in Sydney Mines.
Born in Florence, Dec. 31, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Susan (Cave) Geddes.
She is survived by her daughters, Charlene (Vern), Roberta (Malcolm), Dale (Jackie) and Nadine (Allan); sister, Mary Spence; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Charles Stephen, sisters, Ellen, Evelyn and Olive, and brothers, Richard, Eric, Vernon and Andrew.
Special thanks to Dr. Doug Kohlsmith and the nursing staff of Miners Memorial Manor for their excellent care.
There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, at 10 a.m. in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Florence, with Fr. Thomas John officiating.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of J.M. Jobes Funeral Home, Main Street, Sydney Mines.
