Denis Patrick
April 13, 1966 - August 16, 2012

Denis Patrick passed away after a hard fought battle with leukemia at the age of 46 on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, SK with his family at his side. He was born in Saskatoon, SK on April 13, 1966. In January of 1998, Denis took over St. Louis Big Way which was his parent's business. He took pride and joy in his family life as he was a devoted husband and father and he also held dear to his heart his nieces and nephews. Denis also enjoyed quading, ski-dooing, camping, baseball, hockey, hunting, fishing, golfing and most recently texting "lol". Denis was a devoted and active member in his community serving as fire chief for 25 years, Credit Union board member, town council, small business committee, St. Louis Lions Club and bus driver. He was always the life of the party with a fantastic sense of humour. Denis is survived by his loving wife Reanne (nee Chretien) of 18 years; his daughters Cydnie and Jaide; his mother Yvette (nee Pelletier); his brother Brian (Lori Herperger) & their children Aidan, Megan and Nicholas; his sister Michelle (Tom) Georget & their children Danielle, Matthew and Jaime; as well as numerous brothers & sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father Michael (2002); his brother Martin (1995); his father-in-law Patrick Chretien (1997); his aunt Helene Gurski and his grandparents Elise & Remi Pelletier and Annie & Michael Smutek. A Celebration of Denis' life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at the St. Louis Catholic Church Yard, St. Louis, SK. A Private Family Interment will be held. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to the Denis Patrick Memorial Fund to benefit community projects. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.
