It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Francis Philip O’Neill of Sydney on Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, at home.
Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Porter) O’Neill.
He is survived by son, Kevin, Glace Bay; daughters, Karen (Roberto) Ramirez, Alpine, Texas; Bee (Jeff Potter) O’Neill, Avon, Mass. ; spouse, Grace Walsh; sister, Carmie French, Glace Bay; sister-in-law, Rebecca O’Neil, brother-in-law, David Walsh, both of Glace Bay; sister-in-law, Sherryl Walsh, Deep River, Ont.; grandchildren, Lucas, Sarah and Elena Ramirez; canine buddy, Flip; and by many loved nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Jane Reid, children, Reginald, Mary and John, brother, Reginald and brother-in-law, Thomas.
A funeral mass for Mr. O’Neill will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. Leo’s Church, Glace Bay, on Friday, Aug. 24, 2012, with Rev. Leo Boone officiating.
