Jimmy Carl Hnatiak Hook, 41, of Langley, B.C. passed away suddenly on Monday, August 13, 2012.

Jimmy was a very outdoor person whose passion was kayaking, traveling and camping.

His dear and close friend, Steve Crowe traveled B.C.'s Southwest and wrote a book on kayaking to help beginners and advanced kayakers.

Steve was always there for Jimmy through his illness.

Jimmy had an infectious smile and was so very kind and caring to everyone.

Jimmy is survived by a very grieving family, his mom, Susan (Scott) Hook and stepfather, Garry Hook; his only sister, Tinalee; niece, Payton; nephew, Mason Larson. He loved his grandmother, Martha dearly. He left behind numerous aunts, uncles and cousins from Langley to Kamloops.

The only words to describe Jimmy are "You light up my life."

He is preceded in death by his father, James Ronald Hnatiak.

His mom will have a memorial Saturday, September 8, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Sunny Spot Restaurant, 1850 Yakima Valley Hwy. Sunnyside.

Personal Alternative Crematorium in Aldergrove, B.C. is in charge of arrangements.
