ELLA-JEAN GROSNICK

Passed on: August 19th, 2012

Ella-Jean Grosnick of Victoria, BC, and formerly of Moose Jaw, passed away in Victoria on August 19, 2012. She is peacefully awaiting the resurrection when Jesus comes. Jean was born in Bengough, SK on June 14, 1927. Jean served in her local Seventh Day Adventist Church in areas such as Children’s Ministries and Community Services from 1956 to 1992. She and her husband Jack served with the Maranatha Volunteer Church and School Builders, travelling many times to Mexico. This inspired a great interest in Mission work. Jean enjoyed oil painting, which she was very gifted at, but most of all she loved to please and encourage others, near and far. Predeceased by her parents Elmer and Kathleen McKerricher, and sister Elizabeth Ruben, she will be sadly missed by her husband of nearly 65 years, Jack – Victoria; daughters: Diana (Les) Varadi – Calgary, Bonnie (Ivan) Lust – Moose Jaw, and Gloria (Stan) Beerman – Portland, OR; grandchildren: Kim Henderson, Dorian Lust, Vanessa Tilihoi, Sheresa Finkbiner, Bruce Beerman and Aaron Beerman; great-grandchildren: Chaise and Kaitlin Henderson and Emmarie Finkbiner. The Funeral Service will be held at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 409 Oxford St.W., Moose Jaw on Sunday August 26, 2012 at 1:00 pm. Pastor Stan Beerman, son-in-law, will officiate. Interment will follow at the Blue Hill Cemetery. In living memory of Jean, a memorial planting will be made by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.
