POTTER, Stacey James – 38, Sandford, Yarmouth Co., passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at home. Born August 24, 1973 in Yarmouth, he was a son of Deborah (Stephen) Murphy, Hantsport, and the late Ronald James Potter. Stacey was an avid outdoorsman, and he loved fishing, camping and working with his computer. Aside from his mom and step-dad, he is survived by his brother, Dean Trent Potter (Tia Pitman), Lake George, as well as by his nephew, Ashton Potter and many aunts and uncles. Also surviving are his maternal grandmother, Maude LeBlanc, Arcadia and his paternal grandmother, Phyllis Beattie, Berwick. Aside from his father, he was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Maynard LeBlanc and his paternal grandfather, James Potter. Cremation has taken place under the direction of H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. The family received friends and family at Stacey’s grandmother’s home (Maude LeBlanc), 85 Chebogue Road, Arcadia, from 1-3 p.m., Tuesday, August 28. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
